Problems in Ecosystem Today | Help Save Nature

An ecosystem is a natural unit consisting of all plants, animals and micro-organisms (biotic factors) in an area functioning together with all of the non-living physical (abiotic) factors of the environment.

The term ecosystem was coined in 1930 by Roy Clapham, to denote the physical and biological components of an environment considered in relation to each other as a unit. British ecologist Arthur Tansley later refined the term, describing it as the interactive system established between biocoenosis (a group of living creatures) and their biotope (the environment in which they live). ECOLOGICAL PROBLEMS

Ecology was word that was never taken quite seriously as many people still think that ecologists and scientists are only scaring people when they talk about ecological problems. If only this would be true. But unfortunately reality is something completely different as now we must face with more ecological problems than at any time in human history.

FIVE MAJOR PROBLEMS

1. Global Warming

2. Ocean Pollution

3. Air Pollution

4. Deforestation

5. Endangered Species

It is not yet a hopeless case, we could still do something to make this world a better place to live in… It will be good to famiiarize our self with the major problems of our ecosystem, so we would be aware, not only of our actions but to what is going on with our surroundings as well.
“Insensitivity happens by choice… we become insensitive only because we choose not to care.”
